Whitaker is an excellent high school pitcher and a good kid, but HC should be able to hit the ball a little better and put a couple runs on the board against him! Especially this day when he was not actually real sharp. The soft, slow field conditions helped the pitching out somewhat, Olinger was fortunate on his double that dropped in a good spot in the first that led to a run, but he had a nice bomb later and Johnson had two good hits that led to a couple runs. That was all the hitting that was done other than a few scattered hits that didnt amount to any production by HC.
