The liberal mindset has permeated most American walks of life. Hollywood, government, college and the nightly news all serve up forced feedings of liberal ideals. They hate war as I believe every reasonable person should, though if I didn't know any better, by listening to the liberal rationale I might believe that war is an antiquated means of expression for killers and thugs that love the smell of blood and napalm in the morning.
We fight wars to remain free. I agree that the American nation-building-policy which was so successful at the end of WWII in Germany and Japan hasn't worked in the Arab countries and should therefore be abandoned. To me that is the mistake of Afghanistan and Iraq. Shock and awe worked, rebuilding their infrastructure and setting up a democracy did not. So, though I hate war, I understand that contrary to the liberal notions that war can always be avoided, sometimes we're going to have to fight if we are to remain free. And, we should not forget that George W wanted to take the fight to the bad guys in their own back yard where innocent Americans and property were not a problem. A policy I still agree with 100%, fighting them in their own desert got rid of thousands of war criminals that may well have been in America wreaking havoc at soft targets like elementary schools and the like.
Neither can we buy our friends with all the billions in foreign aid. For example, America has given Pakistan north of 21 billion dollars since 2002. A poll revealed that America is hated by 79% of the population of Pakistan. Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq and Iran hover in the 60's. It's stupid to keep sending them money especially in view of the fact that we borrow 46 cents of every federal dollar spent.
CBS executives rightly hate war but, for the wrong reasons. I believe the level of contempt for which they hold this country is evident in the show. Having been involved in the conflict in Viet Nam and after listening to these traitors now for four decades, I can say the feeling is mutual. When Berlin fell, Germany had had enough. Same thing in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Viet Nam was a different deal, with her people largely fighting over a bunch of huts, rice paddies, water buffaloes and trees. And, with the same kind of nightmare insurgency pipeline coming in from Red China that Americans later dealt with in Iraq. Shock and Awe didn't faze the Viet Cong. Liberal propaganda and depraved programing are nothing new for that bunch of clueless, spineless, leeches there at CBS.
