I haven't read Into The Fire yet, but the other two are spot on.
A childhood friend of mine was one of a precious few who walked away from Hamburger Hill. I read Matterhorn because of him. He was such a wonderful person! He ended up drinking himself to death in his 20s. I can't say for sure, but suspect his experiences in Viet Nam was a huge factor.
