I still don't know why you all care so much about whether someone prefers a penis or a vagina. It's their business and theirs alone. I don't agree with it being pushed in anyone, but I don't see that that often. What I do see is alot of people that are against it accusing gays of pushing their "agenda" on them when they're actually not.
Let them be. It doesn't affect us in any way.
Not true. It will cost many federal and soon many state tax dollars to legislate and make sure any resulting policies are properly adhered to by state agencies, public school systems or applicable government services and programs. The direct benefits paid to the live-ins of gay state employees have to be paid for by somebody. Therefore, until money starts to grow on trees, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that those benefits will be funded by tax dollars. Since Kentucky does not by law recognize gay marriage, the whole mess seems to be more than a little problematic.
There are all kinds of rationales floating around out there meant to justify the homosexual lifestyle. At some point one is likely to hear one that strikes him as personally acceptable. The glaring problem with all the rationales and all the live and let live is, as I have brought up time and again, that man is not his own authority. We don't have the authority to overturn the clear dictates of God's law. Which BTW, is completely separate and apart from the state and federal systems of law, because God's law establishes all absolutes when it comes to morality. In no way does that fact interfere with man's right to govern himself. Therefore, the basis for the vindication or damnation of anybody or any lifestyle, whether they be a homo or straight, is contained (without fail) in God's Word. There just isn't any safe ground here other than adherence to His rules. He says that the sin of homosexuality is wrong and that He will turn those who do it over to a reprobate mind. Meaning, at that point, there no longer exists any hope that homosexuals could ever be forgiven.
It is their right to do exactly that and, if that's their choice so be it. My argument is that men cannot pass laws that countermand God's authority to say what is right and wrong, that is His purview, and His right, alone. And further, those of us who know the truth about what is wrong have the responsibility to say so and not back up about it. In other words, no matter how many liberals howl about it, Christians can never accept the sin of homosexuality as being okay all of a sudden. Same thing with murder or anything else. Heck, Hitler thought he had it right too, and so do pro-choice advocates. Murder is wrong, killing unborn babes is wrong, and, when "men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly", that too is wrong. I fully intend to "let them be" I just don't want to be forced by my government to pay my money to subsidize their unseemly behavior. I view it in the same light as when dollars taken from the US treasury fall into the hands of Al Qaeda or, when F16's get sent to the Muslim Brotherhood.
