Satellite Radio vs Internet Radio
#4
It depends on your listening habits and personal tastes. For home use, satellite radio is not worth the cost unless you find programming there that is unavailable elsewhere, IMO. If you often travel long distances in areas where cell phone data service is spotty or non-existent, and you get tired of listening to your own music collection or prefer talk radio, satellite radio is very nice and may be worth the cost.

Otherwise, I prefer paying for an unlimited data plan for my cell phone and streaming internet radio over my car stereo. TuneIn radio is one of my favorite apps and it is free for Android phones (also for iPhones, I believe). It is amazing how many sections of our interstate highways still have bad mobile data service.

When I travel, I alternate between listening to radio via TuneIn and listening to books from Audible.com. Locally, I listen to the large number of HD radio stations in this area, but outside large metropolitan areas, HD choices are very limited. I get tired of having to constantly retune the radio as I drive as stations fade out.
