Not an excuse, I agree for the most part our coaches have been hopeless. The second half of Brooks' tenure wasn't so bleak. The flaw in his coaching was Joker called the offense & it was apparent.

As for Micah, I was never a fan of his after he got to UK. He arrived with the attitude he was a finesse player. You can't change a kids attitude, only try to guide it & hope he changes. He didn't & his career has shown that. He didn't/doesn't have the attitude to put his hand in the dirt. If he decided to get a mean streak & put his hand in the dirt, he'd been much more successful.

You can change a kids' position, if he buys into the team concept. Micah never did. He wanted to be a linebacker, & at nearly 270 wasn't as nimble as he needed to be. His 270 wasn't strength either. If he'd gotten in the weight room, he'd been up around 300 which would've meant he wouldn't have been at LB or DE. So it wasn't an issue of the coaches developing strength or speed. Had Micah taken advice of his coaches, they could've developed him into a great DE. He didn't want to, he wanted to be at LB. UK was afraid to upset the kid because of his clout & lose him. So they let him be a LB, part of the reason he picked UK I'm sure as Rivals even had him listed as DE. So now Micah is now a struggling DE, just trying to make an NFL team. Attitude, changes everything. Micah didn't change his. Wasn't the coaches' fault.
