Excellent, so you are with me on taking care of the poor, the elderly, giving everything you own because you and I both believe in the book of Acts as the people sold everything that they owned ( expect for the two that tried to lie to the holy spirit!) and no one went with out. I am glad to see you stand brother!!!!

Nope. You and I are light years apart brother. Here's what God has said about how we are to feed ourselves.

Genesis 3:19 (KJV)
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

We are supposed to work unless we are physically incapable of doing so. This idea of giving the poor everything in life is a secular-humanistic concept and is not of God.

1 Timothy 5:8 (KJV)
8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

But as far as giving help to the poor, this is an example of God's provision. Notice the poor were still expected to get out and work for their food by gleaning out in the fields. It wasn't to be just handed to them.

Leviticus 19:10 (KJV)
10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.


Leviticus 23:22 (KJV)
22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.
