Kentucky is now ranked #44 by Rivals in the team Recruiting class 2013 rankings. But they are tied with 3 other schools for #44 - Washington State, Oregon State, and Houston.

UK actually ended the day at 45th tied with Washington State & Oregon State. Houston jumped to 40th & Indiana came in at 44th. With a relatively slow day on the recruiting front, I decided to do some research to see how this class is stacking up with previous classes. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, Rivals only dates class rankings back to 2002. That gives us Guy Morriss' last year, all 7 of Rich Brooks years, & all 3 of Joker's classes. I took only the top 3 classes which were all of Papa Brooks'. In 2004, Brooks' first full class, 2006, & 2009 Brooks' last class. I included some notable guys from each class, ones who played, ones who were expected to play, ones who transferred after showing promise & ones who just didn't meet their expectations.

2004 came in #52 with One ****, Nine ***, 16 **, & One No Star-Most Productive

Micah Jones 4 Star OT Mayfield-Chose UK over Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisville, Michigan & Tennessee. Became a consistent starter on the offensive line. Good collegiate career.
Rafael Little 3 Star RB Anderson, SC-Chose UK over Clemson, Georgia, South Carolina, & Tennessee. Became feature back in Wildcats’ offense & had a good collegiate career.
Joe Joe Brown 3 Star QB Cordele, GA-Chose UK over Maryland, Middle Tennessee State, NC State, South Carolina, & Wake Forest. Never played at UK.
Lonnell Dewalt 3 Star WR Warren Central-Chose UK over Indiana, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, WVU, & WKU. Had a good short lived career at UK.
Marcus McClinton 3 Star S Fort Campbell-Chose UK over Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, & Michigan State. Had a good collegiate career.
Wesley Woodard 3 Star S LaGrange, GA-Chose UK over Arkansas. Transitioned to LB & had a great collegiate career & still a captain with the Denver Broncos.
Tony Dixon 2 Star RB Parrish, AL-Chose UK over Memphis, Mississippi State, Southern Miss & UAB. Had a good collegiate career behind Little as a backup & third down back.
Aaron Miller 2 Star OT East Carter-Chose UK over Baylor, Cincinnati, Louisville, & Wake Forest. Had a good one year career at UK.
Jason Leger 2 Star DT Rockcastle Co.-Chose UK over EKU & WKU. Transitioned to OL. Went on to have a good collegiate career at OG.
Myron Pryor 2 Star DT Eastern-Chose UK over Cincinnati, EKU, Indiana, & WKU. Went on to have a great collegiate career & is playing for the Patriots.
Johnny Williams 2 Star OLB Neptune, FL-Chose UK over Bowling Green, Clemson, Duke, Georgia Tech, & USF. Went on to become a decent linebacker & starter.
Trevard Lindley 2 Star CB Hiram, GA-Chose UK over Cincinnati, Illinois, UNC, & Southern Miss. Became a stalwart in the UK secondary. Great collegiate career.
Garry Williams 2 Star OL Seneca-Chose UK over Cincinnati, Indiana, & Louisville. Had a good collegiate career at OT. Starter at OG for the Carolina Panthers.
Shomari Moore 2 Star ATH Camden, NJ-Chose UK over Duke, UNC, Rutgers, & Syracuse. Became a starter at CB & had a good collegiate career
Dickey Lyons Jr. 2 Star WR New Orleans, LA-Son of UK legend Dickey Lyons. Embraced the BBN & become a good slot receiver while at UK.
Mikhail Mabry No Star LB Mililani, HI-Came to UK. Was a career backup & become a decent special teamer.

Demetrius Goode 4 Star RB LaGrange, Ga-Chose UK over Ball State, Ole Miss, & Southern Miss. Did he ever play??
Corey Peters 4 Star DT Central-Chose UK over Auburn, Clemson, Louisville, Marshall, Michigan, Minnesota, & Ohio State. Playing in NFC title game.
Josh Minton 3 Star DE Pulaski Southwestern-Chose UK over Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Va Tech, & Wake Forest. Did he ever play??
Moncell Allen 3 Star RB Baton Rouge, LA-Chose UK over Nebraska & UCLA. Had a good collegiate career after moving to FB.
Ashton Cobb 3 Star S Monaca, PA-Chose UK over Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, & Indiana. Became a starter at one point.
Michael Hartline 3 Star QB Canton, OH-Came to UK & became a starter after Randall Cobb was delegated to WR
Will Fidler 3 Star QB Henderson County-Came to UK became a career backup with spot work due to injuries to Hartline & Cobb
Chris Cessna 2 Star OLB North Laurel-Chose UK over EKU, WKU, & Purdue. Injuries caused him to retire
Calvin Harrison 2 Star DB Columbia, SC-Starter at safety later in his collegiate career
Justin Jefferies 2 Star OT St. Xavier-Chose UK over Louisville & became a starter on the offensive line
Ricky Lumpkin 2 Star DL Clarksville, TN-Chose UK over Louisville & Middle Tennessee State. Became a starter at DT.
Paul Warford 2 Star RB Madison Central-Chose UK over EKU & Northwestern. Became a starter at CB.
Lones Seiber 2 Star K Knoxville, TN-Chose UK over Tennessee & Tennessee State. Became a good kicker while at UK
T.C. Drake 2 Star TE Hargrove Miltary Academy-Chose UK over NC State. Came back home from Louisville became starter at TE

DeQuin Evans 4 Star JUCO DE L.A. Harbor C.C.-Chose UK over Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State, Nevada, Oregon, & Washington State. Had a solid collegiate career & is on the Bengals practice squad
Chris Matthews 4 Star JUCO WR L.A. Harbor C.C.-Chose UK over Washington, Akron, Marshall, Memphis, & New Mexico. Solid colleigate career & was named offensive CFL rookie of the year this year
Ryan Mossakowski 4 Star QB Frisco, TX-Chose UK over Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Louisville, Nebraska, Oregon & Texas A&M. Could’ve been special but due to injuries & Morgan Newton, Joker ran him off to Northwest Mississippi
Mark Crawford 3 Star JUCO DT Coffeyville C.C.-Chose UK over FIU, Illinois, Kansas, Louisville, North Texas, USF, & UAB. Became a solid starter & decent career.
Morgan Newton 3 Star QB Carmel, IN-Chose UK over Clemson, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Miami (FL), Purdue, & South Carolina. Showed early promise & competed with Hartline. Ran off Mossakowski & ended his disappointing career as an H-back & semi-wildcat QB behind Jalen Whitlow.
Qua Huzzie 3 Star LB LaGrange, GA-Chose UK over Duke, Indiana, Memphis, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, UAB, & Vanderbilt. Had a decent short lived career & showed promise but was an academic casualty transferred to Murray State.
Anthony Kendrick 3 Star TE Katy, TX-Came to UK & has showed some bright spots but been used mostly as a reserve. In line to compete at TE for his senior year in 13’.
Donte’ Rumph 3 Star DL Hargrove Military Academy-Has been in the d-line rotation, & became a starter last year. In line to compete at DT for his senior year in 13’
Donald Russell 3 Star RB Palm Beach, FL-Chose UK over Florida, Georgia, Pitt, Rutgers, USF, Southern Miss, Western Michigan, & Wisconsin. Showed promise & could’ve been special. Power back that Joker ran off in favor of smaller pass catchers. Was at Georgia State last year.
Sam Simpson 3 Star C Henry Clay-Chose UK over Cincinnati, NC State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt & Virginia. Never played much & retired from football last summer
Larry Warford 3 Star OL Madison Central-Had a great career at UK & an All-SEC performer every year. Made an early impact.
Tristian Johnson 3 Star DE LaGrange, GA-Chose UK over East Carolina & Kent State. Broke DL rotation last year at DT & has showed some promise. Set for senior season in 13’
LaRod King 3 Star WR North Hardin-Chose UK over WKU. Made an impact became UK’s #1 WR. Had a good collegiate career.
Dakotah Tyler 3 Star RB Indianapolis, IN-Chose UK over Cincinnati, Indiana, & Purdue. The on again off again UK player, transitioned to safety & is set to compete for senior year in 13’
Ridge Wilson 3 Star LB Central-Chose UK over Indiana & Louisville. Showed promise & played decent but decided to be a drug dealer on the side.
Brian Adams 2 Star ATH Cumming, GA-Chose UK over Vanderbilt. Played WR & was productive. Opted out of football to focus on baseball
Jordan Aumiller 2 Star TE Boyle County- Chose UK over Marshall. Has been productive pass catcher, not much of a blocker. Been a starter over the past two seasons. Returning for senior year in 13’.
Mister Cobble 2 Star DT Central-Came to UK as a potential player. Showed promise & has been a consistent starter. Returns for senior campaign in 13'
Kevin Mitchell 3 Star OT Douglasville, GA-Chose UK over Indiana & Oregon. Has showed promise but has been dominate. Has had some starts.
Martavius Neolms 2 Star DB Memphis, TN-Chose UK over Arkansas State & Southern Miss. Became an immediate starter. Transitioned back & forth from CB to safety. Was a stalwart in the UK secondary.
Patrick Ligon 2 Star DE Memphis, TN-Chose UK over Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Memphis & Miami (OH). Played first 3 seasons at DE, with spot work. Transitioned to TE last year, but didn’t see much playing time. Returns in 13’ for senior campaign
Jonathan George 2 Star RB Lincoln, AL-Has played some at UK, mostly due to injuries. But has been productive as a backup. Returns in 13’ for senior campaign.
