PCC has opted not to play Buckhorn for a couple of years. Don't think it was for fear of the Cantrell rating, either.

For the record, Cantrell's end of regular season ratings for 2011-12 had PCC 6th in the state and Buckhorn 6th in the region.

Upsets do happen. Buckhorn had a very good team. Hatcher stopped playing Buckhorn after some incidents in the district tournament two years ago. Perry was up about twenty late in the game and a couple of Buckhorn players tried to start a fight which would have caused some of Perry's players to be ineligible for the district tournament final. Hatcher got mad and cancelled their regular season games. Hopefully they will get to play this year in the tournament and a new coach will reinstate their regular season games.
