Big East schools Marquette, St. John's, Georgetown, Providence, DePaul, Seton Hall, and Villanova will join Atlantic 10 schools Xavier and Butler to form a new conference in college basketball. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Marquette prepares to leave Big East for new conference
Creighton, Virginia Commonwealth, Dayton, and St. Louis are looking to join the new conference. The only roadblock is how Georgetown decides to leave the Big East. Notre Dame is also "interested" in the new conference, but far from thinking about pulling out of the ACC. The schools want to move fast before the A10 finalizes their TV deal with CBS, NBC and ESPN. The only non-Catholic universities would be VCU and Butler.
