Bowling Green returned 4 starters from last year. Nobody really expected them to be playing in the title game this year, but here they are. Anybody else in the state lose 18 starters and are still playing? I don't think so. Along the way, they beat St. X, Henderson County, Warren Central (twice), Lexington Catholic, Christian County, and John Hardin. Now they will play a very good Cooper team in the finals. I think overachievement is an understatement. Next year we return 18 starter and I think we should be favored to win it all. I am proud of their accomplishments regardless of how the championship game turns out. It's been a great season.

How many other places have 18 starters? Most EKY players play both ways, i.e. 11 starters.
