I'm a Petrino hater, and I don't think either of them can do it. How about Smart? Thats the guy I think UK should go after. Give me your critiques on him Gut. As for winning in 3 years...Petrino wont have UK winning anything in the sec in 3 years. He'll come in, win 6-7 games in 2013 and be offered a job somewhere else. Who knows what jobs will open up next year....Texas, USC, Oregon...and be done with UK, leaving us with half a roster of players for one offensive scheme that not many can coach. If Petrino comes to UK, in 3 years he will be gone and it will be 2-10 again.

You are making way too much sense Trivial. I'd like to hear Guts take on Smart as well.

To add, we all need to prepare ourselves for this decision. UK has a proven track record of not selecting a good hire for the football program. I don't want to say it is inevitable they'll screw this up...but the chances are good they will.

But it would be great to feel good wearing my UK gear during football season " with pride " vs. just hoops and baseball season!

I will happily eat grilled crow breast ( with garlic and onion ) if this time next year we are bowl eligible and enjoying a good coach and staff at the helm, with players having success on and off the field.
