The fans got their moneys worth this evening.

Dixie may have broken a penalty record for illegal procedure and false starts ( atleast 10-12 ). Discipline and Dixie continue to struggle.

Enjoyed #6 Elijah Bell who was the difference in the game for HC. Kick return for a TD and a couple more rushing TDs as well. Only a junior, if he stays healthy and continues to improve, we should see him on Saturdays.

HCs team speed was significant advantage. Turnovers kept Dixie close, and a couple defensive stops allowed Dixie to take the lead 50-49 (went for 2 after a score to do so ). Only problem was 2:00 left on the clock.

HC drove the field at will and scored on a well called reverse pass to a wide open #5 Austin Black.

Dixie didn't give up...they gave themselves a chance with a last second pass from around the 20 which was deflected out the backside of the endzone.

Dixie is a few good assistant coaches, a good marine corp drill sergeant to teach discipline, and some depth to replace the kids who take plays off too frequently. The rest of their hard working teammates deserve better. Their capable of being a .500 or better squad next season.

I believe HC will play Scott Co. who beat Ryle this evening. Congrats to HC on the win and best wishes to Dixies seniors!
