I totally agree with you that Assumption does not have a recruiting coordinator, in truth, they have a far more effective recruiting plan called KIVA. What Mr. Kordes does may be technically playing by the KHSAA rules, but it far from creates a level playing field. Mr. Kordes' KIVA club volleyball program recruits from all of Jefferson and surrounding counties, as well as southern Indiana beginning at age six (yes KIVA has U7 club teams). By the time players have reached age 14 and been selected for KIVA's elite travel teams, countless 1,000's of girls have been weeded through and evaluated to fill these spots. AND, guess where the most elite members of these elite teams magically end up playing, for Mr. Kordes at Assumption. So, playing the card that Assumption is just a small Catholic school with a tiny enrollment and their volleyball team is strictly drawing from their student body is a complete and utter farce. They do not draw from their student body but the 1,000's of girls the KIVA volleyball factory has instructed from the best of the best since age six.

As I have previously posted, change the rules like many other states have. In Ohio, no HS team can have more than 3 or 4 players from the same club team - it's an official OHSAA rule. Other states have same rules. He's currently not breaking any rules, and anyone else could do what he is doing - even public schools - (do you really think all those Highlands football players actually live in Fort Thomas?)

The same 2 teams have won the Championship for the past 18 years - if the KHSAA doesn't realize that something is broken and needs to be fixed, then they must be in on it too.
