Ok you say good coaching, well if that was coaching then it is unsportsmanlike and cheating on Ashland's part. Here are my thoughts about the cramping. First of all Ashland must do a much better job of hydrating their players. They had a couple of cramps in the first half and did they hydrate or IV them at the half? I don't know just asking. Second, what has Belfry fans ticked about the cramps is the timing and the length of time for the treatment of the cramps. I have followed sports all my life and have never seen it take anywhere near 5 minutes or longer to work on a cramp and if it can't be worked out you get the player to the sideline and get it worked out so the game can continue. Obviously, if it is a more serious injury then you must take more time. I have no problem with that. Third, Belfry is pounding Ashland's D Line in the 4th qtr, driving for the score to tie and Ashland has a huge injury timeout. It lasts forever. Both teams get to rest, but it was obvious that at that point in the game Ashland was sucking air bad. Belfry didn't want a break, Ashland needed it and got it, those things happen. And last on the cramps. Number 74 runs full speed toward the Ashland sideline between plays, goes down in a heap screaming, gets about 20 seconds of treatment then miraculously gets healed and walks off with no limp leading his team and the crowd in a big get fired up cheer!!! Enough about that now some game analysis.
