A lot of people in woodford county would argue about him calling off the dogs. Me personally I say if a kid or team has a shot at a record let them go after it. I would argue with those Woodford County people that the score in that game was never embarrassing, and the entire JV and freshman squads played defense in the latter part of the first half and entire second half. Had he wanted to actually embarrass Woodford County, it would've been no problem to hang 80 on them, run the clock, and be done with it in time to get back to Paintsville to watch Sports Overtime. The score remained respectable. The clock was never running. While he may have left a single player in longer at times than necessary for statistical purposes, he has never made a point of running up scores, and he has always made sure as many kids as possible get into games.
