There were 35 kids on the 8th grade team that won State. There are 16 of those kids remaining. We lost a couple to surrounding schools and we had several quit. However, we also added to the group a couple key transfers. I'm not sure where you got the number 9 unless you were referring only to the starters from that group.

I know 9 sounded low, but that is what the KHSAA lists. Who are they missing? They have these sophomores listed:

Ledford - transferred in
Nantz - not sure if he played or not

Woodruff - did not remember if he played
