INDIANAPOLIS -- A trailer hauling thousands of bottles of beer crashed into an east side underpass Monday, strewing shattered glass and alcohol across the road.
The crash happened in the 100 block of South Sherman Drive just after 9 a.m.
A Monarch Beverage truck was hauling a 13-feet-6-inch tall trailer when it crashed into the 10-feet-7 inch railroad underpass, police said.

The driver and his passenger were not injured.
The trailer was torn up in the crash, and thousands of beer bottles and kegs had to be offloaded before it could be moved.:HitWall:
