rank - team - last season's record - thoughts

1. Highlands (15-0): no surprise here, despite losing a very strong senior class, but it's Highlands

2. CovCath (10-3): this might be CovCath's best chance at taking down Highlands. Bir will look to have a huge season

3. Boone County (9-5): graduated a strong senior class, but return a lot of experience and depth. they'll have the talent, just need to figure where to put them.

4. Ryle (7-5): probably the most talented team in NKY 6A, very tough schedule, depth is a concern and could become a huge problem if they get hit with a lot of injuries like last year.

5. NewCath (11-2): no more Hightchew, but they do return some experience on both sides of the ball. one of the early favorites in 2A

6. Conner (7-6): Barker to Fogle all year long, offense will be one of the best in 5A. too many questions on defense

7. Beechwood (12-2): lose Vocke and huge O'line, but return some key players like Max Nussbaum. biggest roadblock to state will be Mayfield again

8. Holy Cross (12-3): lost several key players, but they do return a lot of experience, especially on the O'line. one of the early favorites in 2A

9. Cooper (6-5): the district will be stronger, but Cooper has enough coming back to make them a big player in NKY 5A

10. Scott (4-6): how often do you see Scott in the top 10 for football?

Thoughts? Where's Lloyd?

It has been awhile since we have seen BC in the top three, and Beechwood down at #7.
