Prior to Irving's injury, was the last time Duke could be rated a solid, legit
top 10 team. They were still overated, and their laughable frontcourt game
argued against them being a real threat to win a title. They would have had to get another NCAA gift draw, and still relied on some better teams getting knocked off by other stronger players as in 2010. A lightning strike unlikely to repeat 2 years in a row. Saying they were "well on their way to another title", or were "without a doubt the best team in the land" is to be guilty of ESPN brainwashing.

Duke sucks soooo bad.
I don't see why everyone talks about them like they are good.
NCAA and ESPN won't get off their nuts.
