Newport Central Catholic 22, Dayton 0 (five innings), 36th district tournament: Junior Dom Pangallo went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run to lead the way for the Thoroughbreds in Monday night’s blowout win.
Senior Brady Hightchew also went 3-for-3, including a triple and three RBI.
Junior Pete Collopy chipped in with a triple and three RBI, and Nick Wolterman added a double and two RBI, as NewCath advances in the district tournament.
