According to multiple sources, Julius Mays has committed to Kentucky.
Mays is transferring from Wright State and should be able to play immediately. He only has one year of eligibility left.
Mays transferred to Wright State from N.C. State, where he actually hosted Ryan Harrow on a recruiting trip. Harrow has since transferred to UK and is expected to be the starting point guard next season.
Mays is a 6-2 combo guard who led Wright State in scoring this past season and was named the Horizon League newcomer of the year. Mays hit 42% of his shots from three point range and averaged just over 14 points a game.
Mays tells Cats Illustrated he plans to pursue a master's degree in a sports leadership program at UK.
