NOTRE DAME 3, CINCINNATI McNICHOLAS 2 â Junior shortstop Mickie Terry scored from first on a sacrifice bunt by Maria Schaefer, providing just enough for the Pandas to pull out a pitcherâs duel between Notre Dame sophomore Bridget Stewart and McNicholas junior Abby Jones.
Terry also played a key role in Notre Dameâs two-run third inning, driving in one run with a single off the first base bag.
Amanda Meagher drove in the other run on a ground out.
The Rockets threatened to tie the score in the bottom of the seventh, but catcher Laura Finke threw out a runner at second after a strike out to end the game on a double play.
