Clint is the real deal. I'm pretty tough when it comes to pitchers because I consider myself to be fairly knowledgable about the subject, and Clint Hollon is the most dominant pitcher that I have laid eyes on at the high school level. I've seen the best this state has to offer and he is the best of all of them. Seriously, this kid PITCHES at a legit 93-95 mph and I've not seen it personally, but supposedly he has topped out at 97 in a showcase in Florida. He and Ryne Combs (also on this list) beat the Boston Red Sox Scout Team/Elite Squad in the WWBA World Series back in October. Hollon went 5.2 innings gave up 0 runs and struck out 11, while only walking one.
I want to say that he is ranked as the #2 overall prospect in the 2013 class but is the #1 pitcher overall in his class. And yes that is a national ranking.
As I said before I'm tough when it comes to evaluating pitchers, and trust me Clinton Hollon is well worth the price of admission.
