OK, ITS ABOUT TIME THE ADMINISTRATION STOPS GETTING ALL THE BLAME.
FORMER COACH BROWN WAS A GOOD GUY, BUT HE LOST CLOSE TO 30 STRAIGHT GAMES.:confused: LAST YEAR WAS COACH HOWARDS FIRST SEASON. HE WON 1 GAME, HAD A CHANCE TO WIN 3. MAGOFFIN ACTUALLY SCORED ON BELFRY FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER AND MAGOFFIN HAD A SHEPHERD KID WHO SET THE ALL TIME TOUCHDOWN RECORD IN A SINGLE GAME. 2 YEARS AGO MAGOFFIN COUNTY HAD A TON OF TALENT, THAT SAME YEAR THEY LOST TO BETSY LANE.:omg: SO HOW BOUT SOME FACTS, COACH HOWARD WAS LUCKY TO GET 10 KIDS A DAY TO SHOW UP FOR PRACTICE. DONT BLAME COACH HOWARD!:redboxer: THEY HAD A GREAT BACK IN SHEPHERD INDEED, BUT HALF THE O-LINE DIDNT COME TO PRACTICE MORE THAN TWICE A WEEK.IF YOU WANNA BLAME, BLAME A LACK OF DEDICATION NOT THE ADMINISTRATION. YOU PRACTICE LIKE YOU PLAY, DONT COME TO PRACTICE, LOSE 9 GAMES. IF MORGAN COUNTY CAN TURN IT AROUND SO CAN MAGOFFIN......

I have tried to read this post with an open mind and I have come to the conclusion that.............................................................................You have no idea what you are talking about.

First of all, Coach Browns teams lost almost 30 straight games in the most competitive 3A district in the state. Comparing that district to the one they are in now is apples to oranges.

Secondly, other than Grayson Smith (who subsequently left teaching), the administration would not hire Coach Brown 1 single assistant that taught in the school district. Not just the high school, but the entire school district! That is a shame!

Thirdly, Have you seen Magoffin County's facilities? Have you seen the equipment the kids have to wear? Especially those in the younger grades? Sorry but that is not the coaches fault!!!

Fourthly, I am not sure what your judge of talent is, but to say that the hornets were loaded with talent is absurd. Outside of Marshall, Shepherd, and Adam Smith, not one of MC's starters would have started on another team in the district.

Another thing you need to be made aware of was Coach Brown's teams were disciplined and they were respectful.

I guess my biggest grip is you are indicating Coach Brown was a failure..............ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He shouldered that program and took lumps for it when he could have left them hi and dry. Now people want to downgrade him. I am sorry but that is wrong!!!
