First of all, I have no dog in this fight. Based on my understanding of what happened, Pikeville was questioned before the game about the below rules (copied from KBA website) and all involved (I heard Dave Clevenger was there and isn't he from the Johns Creek area) agreed that Pikeville was eligible. Again, I do not have a dog in the fight. Just putting this out there for discussion.

- Grade Exclusive School KBA Tournaments Athletes Will Be Judged Age Eligible Using The Practices of the KHSAA Standards – see http://www.khsaa.org/handbook/bylaws/bylaw3.pdf
- For KBA Middle School State Tournaments, Players Must Have Played In At Least 5 Games With Their Team To Be Eligible
- Coaches Must Be Able To Prove Their Player’s Age and Grade Level Upon Request-Failure To Do So Could Result In Forfeit Of Games
