I think of it this way, everyone says a life is invaluable. So no matter how much money, time, etc., it would take to support every single person on death row, if it were to save just 1 life it would all be worth it.

Mistakes happen. People have been accussed of, and convicted of, crimes they never committed. So in a way you could think of this as putting a price on a human life. The enormous amounts of money it takes to support a person in jail is a partial reason I have heard of why they like capital punishment.

In turn, the executioner, although it may be their job, aren't they committing murder??? And if no, since of capital punishment, then if they ever executed an innocent person, wouldn't that be murder???

IMO, murder is wrong under any cir***stance. Nobody has the right to decide when someone's life should end. That's why most capital punishment cases are in the situation they are, because the accussed committed an act of murder. If it is wrong of them to committ murder, especially premeditated, then isn't it as bad or even worse for a group of people to sentence a person to death, premeditated???
