Is 1992 the best year ever for the WWF? I say yes; And here's why.

Royal Rumble 1992: The best Royal Rumble match ever. Flair, Hogan, Savage, The Undertaker, Piper, Sid, Sgt. Slaughter, Jake Roberts.... the list goes on. 30 of the biggest WWF stars putting on a great show for the fans. Not to mention all of the undercard bouts. And for me, and Im sure many other people, the commentary of Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan makes this event the best Royal Rumble in history.

WrestleMania XIII: This WrestleMania may not be the best, but the build-up for this event and the way the storylines played out was great. Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. The Undertaker was win number 2 for the Takers 19-0 record at WM. Savage vs. Flair for the WWF title, not to mention the "nude centerfold" Flair and Mr. Perfect was gonna show on the big screen if Flair would have won. Hogan vs. Sid Justice. This match was good. The build-up was perfect, Sid and Flair eliminated Hogan in the Royal Rumble; Hogan was chosen to face Flair at WM 8 by Jack Tunney; Sid got mad, started his heel turn; Then on SNME, Sid completed his heel turn by leaving Hogan to face Flair and the Undertaker; Then Sid started "beating" his opponents after he had won, then he destroyed the Barber Shop. But the best part of WM 8 was the end......... Sid and Papa Shango are "putting an end to Hulkamania" then you hear the Ultimate Warrior's theme music (I'm getting chill bumps as I'm typing this) and then the camera turns to the entrance area and we see the Ultimate Warrior running towards the ring. The crowd is going crazy, the UW feeds of the crowd for a few second then clotheslines Papa Shango out of the ring. Sid comes in, hits the UW with a chair, but Hogan is there to save him. Best ending to a WM ever. However, the Ultimate Warrior at WM 8 is Kerry Von Erich dressed up as the UW. Not to mention the commentary from Monsoon and Heenan.

SummerSlam 1992: Outside at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Crowd of 80,355 attened and saw one of the most entertaning SummerSlam's ever, and saw their Home Country Hero Davey Boy Smith win the Intercontinental Championship from Bret Hart. Seeing the Undertaker come out on a hearse, the Legion of Doom ride motorcycle's out to the ring. Savage and the Ultimate Warrior battle for the WWF championship. The PPV audience and fans in attendance got their money's worth.

Survivor Series 1992: This PPV, IMO, was the coming out party for the Undertaker. This event introduced us to the first ever Coffin match between the Undertaker vs. Kamala. Bobby Heenan and Vince McMahon called this event and as usual Heenan made the show. Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels fo the WWF title was a good match. This would be the first of many between those two. This PPV event also showed us the first ever "Night Stick on a Pole" match between Nailz and the Big Boss Man. This was a good storyline as well.



All of these PPV events and other TV broadcasts leading up to these events are entertaining. With well built-up storylines and results that were believeable to the fans. 1992, IMO, has to be the best year ever for the WWF. If any board members or writers for the WWE read this post, please take note, this is the way pro wrestling should be.
