Hunter Bowles, Lineman/Glasgow
#1
A tight end on offense and end/lineman on defense, Bowles was a star on both sides of the ball for the Class 2-A state runner-up.

The 6-foot-6, 255-pound Bowles had 46 solo tackles and led the Scotties with eight sacks. Glasgow allowed only 127 points in 15 games.

“He was a huge presence on defense for us,” coach Rick Wood said. “He was huge for us defensively because of his size and athletic ability.”

Bowles had 20 catches for 346 yards and three touchdowns. One 11-yard catch earned a first down on a scoring drive in the state final against Covington Holy Cross.

Bowles finished with 70 catches for 1,018 yards and 13 TDs.

Bowles has committed to Louisville and is expected to sign in February. His father played baseball at Kentucky.

“Hunter has had a great career here,” Wood said. “He has tremendous potential as he moves forward in his development at U of L.”
