Lol guys Jim Tom ran the defense. Once more Chirico did not run that D. Quite frankly The D in 05 really wasn't all that impressive. The offense is what won those games. That offense BTW was not put in by Chuke. Chuke was gonna run the wishbone with those boys, but instead when Runyon became HCIC they chose to instead mirror the approach of the 01 team. Which also happens to be the same basic scheme we have used every year since with the exception of Jim toms second year, and Kinner's first year. Chuke wouldn't have been caught dead running the spread with a backfield like that. You guys obviously don't remember too much about the 05 year.

With that being said Chirico did run the defense the next year in 06, which was a much more impressive unit as far as performance compared to talent. I will be very happy watching Chirico's D this next year. But you have to credit the very good staff we had in 05.

After this post it's clear you know nothing about the game of football or what went on at Paintsville. If you've played a down of football EVER I will be very surprised. The running game was a veer scheme offense which was put in by Williams the previous year and during the offseason. Ruyon just made Jimmy run it from the I-formation so it wouldn't look like Chuke's offense. Runyon didn't and still doesn't know how to run the veer. The shotgun was added when Runyon came to take advantage of the Tigers athletic ability. To say the 2005 defense wasn't impressive simply makes you look dumb. The 2005 D was easily better than the 2006 team. The '05 defense lost everyone but Pugh, Cantrel, and Sublett. I know for a fact you weren't on the '05 team and you wouldn't know how any of this played out. Maybe if you had spent a little less time spelling out T-I-G-E-R-S from the pep section you would know a little more about Paintsville Tiger football. Ignorant.
