Ah the memories... Since you are getting all nostalgic here, and want to do a little trash talking, wasn't that the year that the Paintsville coach got a little uhhhh....we'll be nice and just call it happy....and attempted to pull off that failed and infamous pregame "meet me in a dark alley" intimidation tactic at the JC coach and ended up getting his bluff called?nicker:

He could have made it 75-0 if he had wanted to, and he probably should have for him trying that stunt. The JC coach was by far a stand up guy in that game. It really could have been very nasty. It's a long ago and forgotten incident and just really doesn't amount to a hill of beans, but you need to learn to remember little things like that when post little things like that.

Paintsville and Johnson Central have no business now playing each other. Neither team gains anything from it. You can speculate an outcome all you want, but in reality the end result would end up being the same year in and year out.

I agree with you Bob ,there is absolutely nothing to be gained by a renewal of the series. As Hoot said earlier (I think) The Paintsville football program needs to concentrate on the task at hand. This being an upgrade of the program in Class A. I think Coach Runyon and his staff will be effective in this process and of cource best wishes in this process. My wish for the new year would be for the Tigers to once again become competitive. As to the Eagles I hope they continue to raise the bar to get the Big one. They should have their sites set on a championship win. That is my New Year's wish for them.
