Many experts and fans have lauded the high school football Class of 2013 in Kentucky as one of the best in recent years.

And now the coaches agree.

With 152 coaches voting for The Courier-Journal’s All-State team, six juniors made the first team, including the two top vote-getters.

Trinity’s James Quick and Franklin County’s Ryan Timmons tied for the top spot with 47 votes, two ahead of Boyle County linebacker Zach Hester. ESPN.com named Quick a first-team All-American as a wide receiver for the Shamrocks, while Timmons had more than 2,500 all-purpose yards for the Flyers.

Mayfield junior Jonathan Jackson was fourth in the voting, followed by record-setting running backs Anthony Wales of Central and J.J. Jude of Johnson Central
