The Jeffersontown boys’ basketball team stumbled out of the gate, came roaring back and came up just short in the semifinals of the iHigh Fayette County Invitational, falling to Henry Clay 64-60 Wednesday night at Paul Dunbar.
The Chargers (5-3) fell behind 26-6 in the first quarter and actually caught the Blue Devils (6-3) in the fourth quarter before running out of gas.
Greg Minor and Moe Hendricks each scored 15 points to lead the Chargers, who forced Henry Clay into 23 turnovers.
Jordan Green, who hit 7 of 9 shots, paced Henry Clay with 18 points and reserve Teddy Ware added 13 points in just 11 minutes.
