Horrible news out of Magoffin CO.
A Magoffin County man died in a fire at about 5:15 a.m. at his home on Route 40.
Police say firefighters found James Holland, 39, dead on the floor near a window. Holland lived alone. A neighbor, who was awoken by a car horn, ran across the street, but did not enter the home because of extreme heat.
The neighbor described Holland as a good neighbor and friendly person.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
