The average price fares at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport jumped nearly 12 percent in the second quarter, according to the latest U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

The airport in Hebron was second only to the Memphis airport with the most expensive fares among the top 100 airports, with an average ticket price of $476.06 compared to $476.22 at the Memphis facility.

The average increase in air fares across the nation during the second quarter, compared with the year-earlier period, was 8.5 percent.

2. Cincinnati, OH - $476
3. Washington Dulles - $475
4. Huntsville, AL - $473
5. Houston Bush, TX - $473

Lowest Average Fares

1. Atlantic City, NJ - $205
2. Long Beach, CA - $247
3. Ft. Lauderdale, FL - $266
4. Bellingham, WA - $267
5. Orlando, FL - $280
