I don't know who it is that thinks IU has been rebuilding for 24 years, but
they were in the title game in 2002. And had the refs not decided they
wouldn't call fouls on Duke for the last 10 minutes of the game in
'92, they'd have been in that title game too.

But the gist of the story is correct. Much like our downfall under Tubby,
IU had a coach inherit a turnkey team but was unable to build contenders
himself. And they fell all the way in, to the hole we were jumping into
after 2007, had Tubby not gone. But Crean HAS finally got them
heading back upwards. Certaily they are much better than last
year(that's called damning with faint praise) and could cause the
Cats some problems IF they take them lightly. But they will be an
easy victim #9 should we play with the same intensity that we did
against St. John's.( it's not really necessary to point out that Saturday's
effort KILLS any team in the nation is it?)
