It would hurt "RECRUITING" though! Thats my point. If cal ever wants to win a championship he has to keep players more than one year. Which this would be the way to do that. However I think this would help UK basketball as a whole. They would have a better chance at a ring and Cal wouldnt have to spend as much money on paying recruits! Also college basketball as a whole, it would mean some other recruits would have to go somewhere else besides UK... I was just saying it would hurt UK recruiting.

Actually I don't think it's going to matter to recruiting much either
way. A decade ago, the top recruits felt they HAD to go to
the NBA to justify their ranking. Since that is no longer an
option, Cal is on the verge of turning UK's recruiting class
into the replacement for that. Many of the top kids
are going to start viewing being in Cal's recruiting class
as the same thing, though it will be even MORE exclusive
than going to the draft out of h.s. was. And changing the
rule to 2 years instead of one, isn't going to make a whole
lot of difference in that.
