Girls' coaches' regional team and player rankings
#18
I'm anxious to see Peyton Wright (Owsley County) perform this year. She has been a steady player since her 8th grade year. She had quite a few double-doubles last year, and this season she will have more help with the addition of two guard transfers (a freshman and a sophomore). The entire team returns from last year.

They beat Breathitt in a scrimmage in Jackson by 11, with Wright scoring 30. And they played Perry Central to a 38-38 tie for one 20 minute half in Hazard (of course there were two 20 minute halves--so I won't talk about the second one, lol, except to say PCC did very well).

I think the Lady Owls should be a slight favorite in the 56th and have the potential to knock off some serious contenders in the region, (with the exception of PCC--the Lady Commodores aren't rated 3rd in the state for nothing. The 14th shouldn't be any trouble for them at all).
