Is Bowling Green the #2 team in the state?
#30
Blau Vogel Wrote:I would say they WERE 50 points better because Highlands probably puts up 70 if they hadn't called off the dogs and the running clock doesn't start with 5:48 left in the third quarter. That is a quarter and a half, that the Birds coasted. However, even if we use your 30 - 35 points, how much would BG have to improve to cover that spread? Are they really five TD's better? If so, I would contend that would be the best one year improvement in the history of high school football.

Highlands could have scored 100 if they wanted to because, as I said, Christian County was already going through the motions before the first half was over. Highlands cut their heart out early in the second quarter and they looked like they went into shock.

And again, use my Warren Central example if you would like to put numbers on it. That's an improvement of 24 or 36 points depending on which game you use. Average it out, where are you? 30 points. And that's not even trying to put a number on how much Central improved either. Year over year, there's not a team on Central's schedule (other than BG of course) that the Dragons did not beat by way more this year.

Still no thoughts on the LexCath scores?
