Coach: Scott Morton (first year).
Last season: 12-13, lost to Central 68-29 in 23rd District semifinal.
Player to watch: Amani Miles, a 5-8 forward whoâs one of two seniors on the roster, âis pretty good on defense and brings a lot of hustle,â Morton said.
Other top players: F Kaelin Smith (5-8, Sr.); G Terry White (5-0, 8th); F Hailey Oakes (5-7, Jr.); Kylah Bradley (5-6, 8th).
Outlook: Morton is the interim coach, recently replacing Tony Schnell. Schnell was hired in the offseason to replace Jana Costner, now the head coach at Jeffersonville. With two eighth-graders in the starting lineup, Brown will face some growing pains. Morton said White is âan up-and-coming player. Once she matures and gets some playing time, sheâll be pretty good.â
