1) Coaching change.
2) Low on numbers. Only had 36 to start the season and had 27 on the field Friday INCLUDING several freshman. Only six seniors (down to five and had only four on the field Friday).
3) Challenging schedule. Central Hardin is a 6-A team, Beechwood, Bardstown and North Oldham are all ranked. Two ranked games coming up (Louisville Central and Glasgow)
4) Discipline. One running back kicked off. One suspended for a game. Starting QB suspended for first quarter last Friday (team fell behind 37-0 without him but played Beechwood within a touchdown with him). Starting senior middle linebacker quit in middle of Bardstown road game.
5) Special teams have been a mess. Can't consistently snap to punter.
6) Entering this season, E'town had to replace more than half of its roster through graduation and non-returns (11 underclassmen from last year did not come back)
7) Defense has been a mess. Can't stop the run. It's been said this is the worst defensive team in E'town's history.

Do mean "quit " literally ? The linebacker ....did he ride home with the team?
