I'll have to agree with you on that.

Many of the kids who Calipari gets at UK he gets because these kids believe he can get their draft potential at its max and put them in the NBA. Cal gets the best and gets them paid.

I am not comparing Cal and Rhodes but many of these kids do want to play for Rhodes because he does have connections, which we all know he does, and these connections can get these kids looked at by certain Colleges and University. Am I saying he didn't recruit them, no I am not, but it does help when you are a good basketball player and your coach played professionally, and was an assistant coach at several University's. Rhodes will get these new boys looks, he will even get some of these other boys looks, not by UK or Duke but like NAIA. I am sure when many of these role players are Juniors and Seniors that Rhodes can defiantly get a NAIA school to look at them. But still, the main reason why I believe Cordia is getting such new players is because of Rhodes and his connections.

I agree!!! This is what ive been trying to say since these recruiting threads started!!! I know this is HS bball but the end result of all the hardwork is getting a free education. Thats the most important thing these parents are looking for, nothing more. Parents put alot of time and money into their children and the least they should get from it is their child get a free education. I know some parents think their kids can play at UK and they could barely play at ALC!! Thats fine, hopefully some of these college coaches coming to eky will wake them up. If a college coach comes to watch a certain kid they may also see someone else that they or one of their friends at another college can use. This is what eastern ky has been lacking for alot of years. Its the high school coaches JOB to help these kids get looks, its the kids JOB to perform while they are looking. The parents need to let the kids know that its ok to play at places like Alice Lloyd and Union. Its about gettn a free education. If the parents will do this u will see alot more of local kids playing college bball.
