Ashland in 06?

The Tomcats will have to rely on their running game and defense early in the year. With half the line coming back and a few that saw a good deal of playing time returning they should be able to pound the ball until the QB position gets settled. The defense only has 2 returning starters in the box. With Davis and Gallagher. The defensive end position will more that likely be filled by Nethercutt and Salyers. The other LB position beside Davis will be up for grabs, Cordle, and a few younger kids may have a shot at it, but right now i'll say Cordle because of the experience factor. The OLB postion is definitely up for grabs. I don't really see a frontrunner in the battle for that position, Castle has some experience playing some JV at that position, but i don't think he can move very well in space. The secondary is pretty much locked up with Bonner at FS, Mcdavid and Thomas at the corner positions.

We have a good deal of playmakers returning and some that can be playmakers but lack much need experience, and they will have to grow up quickly and make an impact for this Tomcat team.
