How much "luck" is involved in bringing home a state title..

Luck many times has a hand but doesn't have to have the only hand in the process. Great teams that overcome bad luck are special to watch. I think Boyle's win over Lone Oak is a prime example. The Rebels had some things that went against them that were skill by LO and luck as well but they fought through it to block a punt, run the ball and rattle the other guys at the end.

LO lost that game because they kept passing the ball instead of running it and killing clock. They gave Boyle every opportunity to come back and wint that game. The better team won that game and had LO won that game I'd still say the better team won. LO was much better at every facet of the game than we expected. Had they ran the ball in the 4th up double digits on Boyle then who knows what may have happened.
