That's what always pissed me off- when people would say "oh, CCH is 3a (back before they made more classes) because they don't have to count any girls, so they have that many more boys."

Really?

Until about 6 years ago, the KHSAA used total enrollment (Boys and Girls) to determine classification. All boys schools simply had their enrollment doubled. For those schools with a majority of girls, such method pushed them into higher classes.

Fortunately the KHSAA realized the silliness of doing it that way and changed to just using the boy number.
