Since it is AGE related then will your 8th grade team play my JV team? We would be the SAME AGE. Sounds fair to me since IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS.
Yes, holdbacks are LEGAL. But when they graduate HS, count how many of them go to a school larger than Cumberland or Union, thus squashing their FAMILY'S dream of a free RIDE and bragging rights at the WAFFLE HOUSE. If they are not failing THEN LET THEM COMPETE WITH THEIR REGULAR AGE/SCHOOL GROUP.
People whining - one or two players held back for NON-ATHLETIC REASONS and nothing is said.....16 held back that can't win in their age group - THEN THE WHINING STARTS. What in the world are you all thinking?????
Yeah, I'm sick of it.
