No one is "downing" Bell. But the facts are just that simple that they lost a huge chunk of their offensive skill set and about 1/2 their defense.
Lex Cath returns 8 on one side of the ball and 9 on the other. Add to that they return almost all of their skill players.
It's not like the Knights haven't won state titles and been in the spot light in the last 10 years either. (2007 and 2005)
As to whether it phased them it must have. They won a title in '08 but did not return to the title game in the next 2 years.
