Im sure Bolin has gotten better and all, however, Ive got to see both teams for the past two years.
If Lex Cath has as much problem stopping the run as they did against Whitley, it doesnt matter how much they score because Bell will every time they get the ball if there defense hasnt improved.
Whitley had the lead in both games against Lex Cath and in the 4th qtr of both i believe, or atleast the game at Lex Cath and depth really hurt Whitley against the athletes of LexCath and IMO let both games slip away, but Whitley never had a shot against Bell, it was over from play one.
I know this is a new year and yada yada but if Lex Cath hasnt found a way to stop the power style running offense that Bell runs with some counters and sweeps thrown in than it will be a bad day for the knights.
I think LexCath will be much better at stopping the run this year because of two reasons and both of them have to do with their defense of their d-line. The first is that instead of them being sophomores going up against seniors they will be juniors now and be able to be more able to phisically compete. The second reason is our stud noseguard Oscar Melendez is finally healthy. He is 6-3 290 and can move. He was hurt for all but the Boyle County playoff game last season. If he is not double teamed he will live in Bell's backfield.
Also since Bell depends heavily on the run I think it would be easier for LexCath to run away with this one than it would for Bell to make it a blowout
