I forget, did David Vitter spend days on end blaming liberal Democrats for his problems? Did he lie when he was caught red-handed or did he apologize to his constituents and family immediately? You are assuming that most Republicans condone what Vitter did and defended him. Please search the archives and point out where I did such a thing. Lawmakers should resign when caught breeching the public trust in a major way.

All that being said, are we supposed to be focusing on David Vitter while Anthony Weiner thrust himself into the limelight with press conference after press conference and lie after lie and while many Democrats are demanding an investigation or his immediate resignation? Is there something abnormal about focusing on current politics in a Political forum, or should we ask for a new History forum?
