^You know as well as anybody that if a republican hot shot who was as quoted and featured as Weiner is, were to be caught red handed at something as morally bass as this, the left would be metaphorically dancing in the streets.

The only reason we, and everyone else in the country, are talking about it is because it just happened. And like it or not, it goes to the credibility of all of the left's arguements about what they consider their moral obligations are, as they legislate us into a better, in their minds only, America.

In their minds the US needs to be changed to help the unfortunate more than we presently do. The conservative thinking says, ok let's help people but let's give most of that help in making and sustaining an economic environment conducive for them to succeed on their own. Once the "Great Society" genie was let out of the bottle there was no way to draw a lline in the sand on how, or where, to stop giving folks stuff. I always like to help someone if I can but, at some point in time that ' helped ' person needs to stike out on their own or, they become burdensome. There seems to be no way to stop the runaway entitlements. Nor do the liberal thinkers of our time neccessarily want things to change because any change would by nature change the voting dynamic.

33, for the record, I certainly am not saying this type of behavior is exclusive to the liberal offenders that have been mentioned. I think that RINO's and a few true conservatives can and have engaged in the same kind of behavior. I just don't remember hearing stories of Newt Gingrich going down under a table in an upscale restaurant with the lucky girl of the night, ala Ted Kennedy. Or a presidential cigar party, queen of corona-esque under the desk intern, for Nixon, Reagan or either of the Bushes. But, for what it's worth, after I heard my favorite QB sent pix of himself being,'excited about life', to women, he dropped off the list in my book completely. The whole arguement that a person's private life is his business alone is rediculous and absurd of it's face. Who among us can throw stones and yet. Who among us would really try to make the argument that after the blue dress story broke, our foreign policy influence was not dubious at best? Just as Mr. Weiner is now diminshed and operates within a cloud of shame, so was our president then. This kind of behavior hurts us as a nation and, whether we want to face up to it or not, as a nation we are diminished in the eyes of the world. IMO, it needs to stop. Not agreeing with liberals does not mean I hate them, I'm narry one iota better than the worst liberal.
